You know when you have those moments where a certain scene just touches your heart? This happened to me last week. One night, after we were all headed to bed in preparation for a very early morning, our middle schooler groaned. He had completed all of his online homework but had forgotten some papers that he needed to do. Thinking it would just be a few minutes, one of our teenage daughters said she’d help him. They sat together while she leaned over his shoulder and helped him through it. As one paper led to another and he brought out a packet, he did not finish until 1am. His sister stayed up the whole time encouraging and helping him. What a sacrifice and sweet show of love! What a great reminder to look for the good and appreciate our kids for how great they are!
